Mohamed Salah Out For Season With Broken Foot
Mohamed Salah has already been ruled out for the season before making his first start for Liverpool. The £36 million club record signing suffered a broken bone in a freak accident at Melwood, when teammate Daniel Sturridge drove his Lamborghini over the Egyptian’s foot.
Unlucky
“My heart goes out to him,” Sturridge told Soccer on Sunday. “Andy the physio reckons that it wasn’t driving forward over the lad’s foot that broke the bone, but when I panicked and reversed back over it a second time. When everyone was screaming and I went forwards over it a third time, the damage was probably already long done.”
“I wouldn’t mind, but the only reason I’d popped into Melwood was to let the gaffer know that I’m injured again,” added the England striker. “I got out of bed too quickly this morning, and went all woozy. So that’s me gone until Christmas. Last time I felt woozy I stood on an upturned plug and was out for a fortnight. You can’t take risks with wooziness. Not ever.”
Klopp
Jürgen Klopp admits that he is very disappointed with the accident.
“I fucking hate Sturridge,” the German told Soccer on Sunday. “I can’t sugarcoat it any more. I hate his stupid goal celebration, I hate his stupid face. I hate everything about the poxy little shitebag. Bad enough that he gets injured if a wasp farts sideways at him, but now he’s mowing down the other players too? Why can’t he just bugger off as you English say, and leave us alone?”
Advice
Sturridge has some words of encouragement for Salah and his injury.
“Don’t rush your return,” he told Soccer on Sunday. “Just chillax, yeah? The trick is not to come back until you feel arsed. You still get paid, and nobody seems to mind.”![Sturridge](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_ttg1yja0_rgLwOJ-ktOBrLuxCXKl_aodH6g5Ugq-V26_KjXNZsjzriaEp7Q9aDhoOcL2DdLQAJd3YlJIi87_aC2wmdWclSdQjStnnjKwLV85LkPQlzqy4HDiWi6abCc1DNTYIUfXP8e6qB39vOTukm=s0-d)
